Flower child

During our last family trip my nine-year old kept asking to take pictures with the iPhone and  Canon full-body with telephoto. It do not seem like a good idea to let a child walk around playing with two $1000+ toys but it turned out brilliantly!  She cheerfully carried both and  switched from iPhone to camera without any fuss unlike her minimalist mother who complained profusely and repeatedly about the neck aching, camera dangle and wrangle for want of "living in the moment."  My little girl was responsible, engaging, and productive! What more could a proud parent ask for?

To an amateur photographer as myself coming from a time when one carefully counted out the frames to not go without film at the most important part of a journey,  digital photography feels like being a kid in a candy shop with the same results, a lot of extra weight unless you are truly passionate about it.  Before child labor laws infringe on my new found photographing freedom,  I wanted to ask a question.

For me, there is no getting used to the weight regardless of the capacity and to be honest sometimes it is impossible to  tell the difference between the iPhone shots and the single lens reflex if you have the right composition and lighting.  What do you think? Which are iPhone and which are Canon?
